Anthony Choueifati graduated from the University of Houston in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology, and he received his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in 2005. The 21 years of practice that followed shape how he advises clients, whether the matter involves forming business entities, negotiating complex partnership agreements, drafting and negotiating contracts, building an estate plan or closing a merger.

His work is transactional by preference. Most of what crosses his desk is a decision a business owner has to make correctly the first time: which entity to form, how to split ownership with a partner, what a purchase agreement actually obligates you to do, how the business passes to the next generation. Anthony enjoys meeting business owners of all types and works to build lasting relationships rather than one time engagements. • Restructured a fast growing multistate medical, technology and ancillary services business.
• Represented clients in the purchase, sale and merger of existing businesses, which alone carry a cumulative value of over $750MM. Those transactions have included professional services firms, software and technology businesses, vehicle services companies, restaurants and bars, hotel and hospitality businesses and industrial companies.
• Supported a regional title company’s expansion plan by representing it in the acquisition of smaller local title companies and negotiating real estate leases and other agreements.
• Created the business structure for a group of investors to invest in a sports agency, drafted the partnership agreement and the employment agreements, provided ongoing corporate governance guidance, and eventually represented the investors in the sale of the agency.
